BIG BIG thanks to Carn and Atacama Republic for supplying the music for the Silent Auction, Coasters for the venue and allowing us take over for the evening, and to all of you who attended and bid on the items. We were blown away by the generosity of the donors and the bidders and hopefully everyone went home happy!!

 

After totting up all the proceeds from the silent auction and steak sales, our project fund now stands at $22,736!!! Thanks for all your support.

If you missed out on the last round of steak sales, we will be holding another one just before the summer break - watch this space!!

Silent Auction event TONIGHT!

Tonight is the night!! Our Live Music and Silent Auction event kicks off at 7pm tonight - all tickets have been sold!! For those of you lucky enough to get your ticket, there are some AMAZING items up for grabs and fantastic live music on offer. We have had such a fantastic response to our requests for donations from the neighbourhood and local businesses - we really couldn't do this without such fantastic support!! Thank you!
We also have 50/50 tickets for sale - the prize to be drawn tonight.
PLEASE NOTE: payment for your winnings can only be by cash or cheque!!

Two exciting fundraisers this month

Tickets are now available for our Live Music and Silent Auction event to be held at Coasters Pub on April 21st starting at 7pm.

AND - just in time for the start of BBQ season (and back by popular demand), we are pleased to be offering boxes of steaks for sale again:
You can order a case of 24, 5oz AAA Top Sirloin Steaks for $80/case (that's only 3.33/steak).
Orders must be in by Tuesday April 17th. Steaks will be available for pick up on April 25th.

March Bottle Drive update

Update on the March Bottle Drive: we raised $1001.90 - FANTASTIC!!
This brings our total raised to-date up to $12,772.14 - thanks to everyone who contributed!!

Latest developments

Hey all!
Thanks to all who participated in the latest Bottle drive - we are just awaiting the final total, and will keep you all informed. To date we have raised $11,770 and the bottle drive will hopefully add up to another $1000 to that - thank you so much for your support!!!

Upcoming events are a Silent Auction to be held on Saturday 21st April 2012 - more details on that very soon!

Back by popular demand will be Steak sales - just in time for the start of BBQ season - we will let you all know when we start taking order and the delivery date.

We are currently collecting items for the Silent Auction (we have some very exciting things in the pipeline, including some items being made especially for our project!!). Festive fundraising knitting designs.

Another local knitwear designer has created a series of festive designs which will raise funds for our project. They are a set of decorative carol singers and you can find out more on her blog here:

They are super cute and proceeds from now until March 2012 will go towards our project.

Steak sales and Bottle drives

We are super excited about our latest fundraiser - a case of 24, 5oz AAA Top Siirloin steaks for only $80?!? If you get your order into us by 12th December, they will be available in time for Christmas (21st December)!! This is a fantastic opportunity to stock up for the holidays - tell all your friends and colleagues! Email us on trainparkproject@shaw.ca for more details or with your order!

We had such a great response to our first bottle drive, that we are planning to run a few more over the winter months. The first of these will take place on Saturday December 10th from 10am. Please leave your bottles out with a note saying they are for the Train Park Project if you want to help us with this intiative.

We are still in the Aviva Community fund competition, so please keep voting every day to help us win all the funding we would need for the park.
